Batumi Educational Trip: by Maka Kushanashvili

What do you think about educational tourism in certain regions? In my case it was Adjara region. Batumi city represents one of the bright examples in the stable tourism development field.

Tourism is a great opportunity for people from regions to become economically independent. At the same time, to be part of the tourism industry you have to be equipped with appropriate knowledge and need to know the English language (as it is an international language) and enable to conduct effective communication.

Roddy Scott Foundation implemented project aimed to serve the local tourism industry representatives and teach youngsters appropriate skills.

Last feature was series of training sessions by professors of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. Various activities around Batumi city overed successfully. The group of 17 people was able to take part in indicated activities and receive beneficial information and news about tourism. The duration of the Batumi trip was from 16th to 20th August

To my mind we all acknowledge that educational tourism is a brainwave, This kind of experience gives locals ability to be highly educated about tourism, its advantages and potentials.
