Arabian schools in Pankisi
There are about 200 countries in the world, 1000 living languages, but only fourteen have an alphabet, including: English, Arabian, Russian.
Most people in Pankisi are Muslims. ,, Mother language “ for Islam is Arabian, so I think it is not surprising that they show interest to learn it.
About seven years ago in Duisi, in the courtyard of the mosque was built a school for the people who wanted to learn this useful language. And today such kind of schools are in Khalatsani, Tsinubani, Birkiani and Jokolo.
Children, that go to these schools can learn Kuran by heart and find more facts and things about their religion. Before girls attend this lessons they must wear properly, a scarf on their head, a long skirts and sleeved shirt.
Koran lessons are three time a week and Arabian language lesson is once- on Sunday. In Duisi Arabian School there are about 30 girls and 35 boys.
I must say that it is not easy language at first, but in my opinion no any achievement is achieved easily. So it will be very a good thing. I am proud that I will know English, Russian, Arabic, Georgian (which is the second mother tongue) and my native-Chechen. We will use it for good purpose.
