We talked about electricity problems in Pankisi before. It was and is a very big problem for inhabitants, but now the government is going to solve this problem. They are renovating old electricity poles.
For this project government has spent 15 000 Lari. The works have started and Pankisi people are very glad because it is the main problem for them. When there is a little wind, the light is gone. Sometimes this lasts for days.
Local businesses, shops and cafes have problems. RSF journalistic class doesn’t work on their online newspaper without electricity. It is quite often these days.
We are looking forward to the renovation of the poles and having lights to work perfectly.
