On December 7, 2024, we had the incredible opportunity to meet the Ambassador of Bulgaria,
Mr. Vesselin Valkanov, along with 1st Secretary Mr. Ivan Ivanov, at the American Shelf Pankisi / Roddy Scott Foundation.
Despite the challenging situation in Georgia, the Ambassador chose to visit us, eager to engage with our community.
Students from the Roddy Scott Foundation were present to welcome the Ambassador.
He took the time to answer our questions thoughtfully.
When I asked him, “In which areas do you support Georgia the most?” he explained that the Bulgarian Embassy is particularly active in education.
He emphasized their efforts to promote exchange programs between Bulgarian and Georgian universities, along with other important initiatives.
We also discussed a range of topics, including Bulgaria, social media, and more.
The Ambassador was open and friendly, providing detailed answers to all our questions.
As a special gift, he presented us with a beautiful drawing of a Bulgarian monument, which we were thrilled to receive.
It now has a special place at the Roddy Scott Foundation.
