The pain of Pankisi people: by Lalita   Kushanashvili.

The Kist originally came from Chechnya. Every Kist person carries a huge pain of abandonment and lack of recognition from society that they consider to belong to. They struggle every day to be accepted, not only by their ancestors, but also the settlements around them.

The young generation of  Pankisi university graduates is honorable, but in spite  of  striving  hard, it  becomes  impossible for them to get a job in public  institutions beyond  Pankisi Gorge. This circumstance makes them search shelter other countries.

Strangers eye Pankisi society from a distance and they might seem to be  happy, but they are the biggest pain bearers in the nation.
