There are two kinds of weddings that are held in Pankisi Gorge. The traditional one and the new one that appeared recently. So, I am going to speak of them.
On the one hand the traditional wedding is more acceptable for me than the new one. Not only bride and groom but also all the people invited entertain themselves. Bride and groom sit together in the center of the feast. People are dancing and singing songs and everyone looks happy.
Muslim’s wedding is very boring. Men and women sit separately. They have meals, without music, dance and enjoyment. They are parted from each other.
To my mind it’s up to people which way to choose and beliefs to rely on.
