I am here with the sad news, which made the people of Pankisi feel frustrated. Unfortunately, Khaso Khangoshvili, the representative of the Council of elders of our valley and writer, passed away. It is such sad news for all of us, all the people of the Pankisi valley loved this person because of his work, his dedication, his kindness, and also his friendship.
Khaso Khangoshvili was a respectful person in Pankisi, who was trying to let his people have friendship with other nations, and sure he made it. He also wrote many books about the Pankisi Valley and Kist people, and also about the relationship between the Chechen and Georgian people. He wrote the well-known book which is called ‘’The traditions of Pankisi’’. This tragedy happened on 15th of November 2023, it was the biggest tragedy for the Georgian and Chechen people, as he was the bridge between these two nations. His works and his deeds will remain a part of our history. We express our condolences to his family and relatives, and the whole gorge. We will always be proud of him.
