My favorite book is The adventures of Sherlock Holmes, by Arthur Conan Doyle.I first discovered these stories when I was about fourteen and I have loved them ever since. They are written brilliantly.

All of the twentieth century’s detectives, like Miss Marple and Inspector Morse seem really boring compared to Sherlock Holmes.
Normally, I enjoy reading detective stories, though with the Sher
